As of September 1, 2012, two great schools, Annunciation BVM and Saint Nicholas of Tolentine, merged to become one in order to sustain Catholic elementary education in the area.
Annunciation BVM School was established in 1868 in the basement of the church. This was the beginning of the commitment and dedication of educating students in their faith as well as academically.
Saint Nicholas of Tolentine School was established in 1925 in order to serve the increasing number of Italian immigrants that settled in South Philadelphia. The Franciscan Sisters staffed the School from 1925-1951 and the task of education was carried on by the Religious Teachers Filippini who continue to serve the school.
Using our past as a foundation, we will shape our future by merging our talents and gifts as we journey to form our history at Saint Anthony of Padua Regional Catholic School .
